A Bike Race Of A Different Kind
While the climbing and the descents in Le Tour will be quite impressive over the next few days, the riders in that race have nothing on the guys in the Megavalanche, a race that also takes place on the Alpe-d'Huez but features a distinctly different kind of riding. That looks fantastic. Do they allow entries on Cyclo Cross bikes?
I think you can use any bike you want. The story at the Adventure Journal says that most riders don't prefer to use a pure down hill bike, but want something lighter with a bit more travel. It looks like a pretty killer ride either way.
This was awesome. I wish I spoke french cause I'd love to hear what they are saying.
