Why lie about it? Whether you've built 1 school or 100 schools, he's already done more than most people have to make a difference in other people's lives.Laurelhttp://myexpatgermany.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21096663.post-18269543124851628242011-04-19T23:22:53.981-05:002011-04-19T23:22:53.981-05:00Give me a break about Krakauer's integrity! If anyone should be scrutinized, it should be Krakauer. Funny how he had his article published about 60 seconds after "60 Minutes".Shandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00485218242223423270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21096663.post-19401963713880958762011-04-19T21:27:35.878-05:002011-04-19T21:27:35.878-05:00Jon's research is impeccable; it simply cannot...Jon's research is impeccable; it simply cannot be doubted. There is no question that Mortenson has done alot of good, but why throw it all away with the unnecessary wholesale fabrication of events, the malignment of his kind hosts as Taliban kidnappers, and questionable financial practices. I'm so disgusted by his deceit and mismanagement of donors money. What a creep.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21096663.post-18775791021417420402011-04-19T14:57:30.632-05:002011-04-19T14:57:30.632-05:00Agreed on all accounts Clyde. Sadly, they appear to be true. Be sure to read "Three Cups of Deceit" to get Krakauer's full story. The Outside interview does a poor job of rebuttal. It never made sense how GM could end up in Korphe instead of Askole since that's on the other side of a major river with no bridges upstream. Nazir Sabir, easily the most respected climber in Pakistan, flat out calls GM a liar. I'll take his word over ExWeb any day.Clydenoreply@blogger.com
